Faten Raad
Counsellor to the Minister

Faten Raad is a doctor in agriculture, Food safety, UBO University, Brest, France. She has a Master’s degree in agriculture, Food quality control, INAPG/ USJ. She has a BS in rural development, sociology, Lebanese University, Lebanon. She worked in agricultural research and developmental programs for national and regional projects with international organizations (FAO, EU, and IAEA). She was a researcher at Lebanese Agricultural Institute (IRAL), Lebanon.
She is currently a coordinator between LARI and MOA and an Associate professor at the Lebanese University (Faculty of health and faculty of Agriculture). She assisted in the preparation of the Ministry’s Of Agriculture strategy for the development of the agricultural sector (2010-2014), Cereals development plan, feed development plan, country seed policy and sugar beet development plan. She acts as focal point for several national committees: potato, wheat and feed national committees. She is the Lebanese focal point of the Mediterranean Agricultural Market Information Network (MED-Amin).
