David Gasc is an agronomist, Montpellier Sup Agro (2005). He is specialized in international cooperation (Mediterranean region), sustainable development of rural territories and agro-ecology. He operated in an NGO dedicated to the management of Mediterranean forests and acted as coordinator of international projects financed by the EU and other multilateral funds and lately as Director.
Presently posted at the CIHEAM- Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier, he coordinates and implements the daily activities of the Mediterranean Agricultural Market Information Network (MED-Amin).
 
The MED-Amin multilateral network established in 2014 between the 13 member countries of CIHEAM at the request of their Ministers of Agriculture aims at fostering cooperation and sharing experiences between national information systems on cereals markets in the Mediterranean, in view of promoting greater transparency and higher quality information, following the model of the AMIS initiative (Agricultural Market Information System) established by the G20+7 countries.
