Fraser Gilbert was born in Newfoundland and studied at Memorial University. After graduating he travelled to Vancouver where he started work with the Canadian Grain Commission in 1972. While with the CGC he held managerial positions in Prince Rupert, Winnipeg and Chatham Ont., and finished his Gov’t career on his 2nd stint in Winnipeg where he worked as Chief Grain Inspector for Canada. Fraser joined SGS Canada Inc. in 1997 as Agri Manager and opened their first office in the Grain Exchange Building in Winnipeg, MB offering for the first time independent 3rd party inspection to Canada’s grain industry. Soon after Agri offices were opened in Saskatoon, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary and were followed with offices in Thunder Bay, Centralia, and Prince Rupert. Fraser worked as Agri Manager for Canada and spent a few years in the USA as North America Agri Manager. In 2009 he moved to a Strategic Business Development role working from Vancouver, BC.
