Noubia Gribi has over 20 years of expertise in designing, implementing, managing and supporting results-oriented international development assistance initiatives with emphasis on agricultural marketing, food security, nutrition, value-chain and economic benefit strengthening and analysis through the linkage of host country public and private sector support to community-based initiatives. In her headquarters based position as Director of Agribusiness and Food Security at Africare (January 2014 – June 2015), she was responsible for ensuring a high standard of technical design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Africare’s partnerships with host governments, research facilities, academic partner institutions and international donors. Ms. Gribi began her career as a Senior Analyst – Livestock Trade and Marketing for Abt Associates Inc. (1996 – 1997) where she conducted research and analysis on administrative, regulatory, infrastructural, financial, operational and logistical constraints to efficient livestock marketing between the Sahel countries and Togo. From 1998 to 2001, Ms. Gribi was the Marketing Director for Abt Associates Inc., Egypt where she designed two value chain projects on medicinal and aromatic plants which were awarded by the World Bank. From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Gribi took on a variety of consulting assignments with Land O’Lakes, The QED Group, Chemonics International, Egypt Swiss Development Fund, and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). From 2005 to 2013, Ms. Gribi continued her career in international development with ACDI/VOCA where she served as, Chief of Party in Lebanon (2005 – 2007) for a seven million dollars value chains project in horticulture and livestock that she designed and was awarded by USAID; Country Director in Lebanon (2007 – 2009); and Regional Director for a Farmer-To-Framer Program as well as Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region (2009 – 2013). As the Regional Director for the MENA region, Ms. Gribi served as the overall programmatic and legal representative for ACDI/VOCA’s portfolio in Jordan which covered the entire MENA region.
