Kevin Roepke

Regional Director, South and Southeast Asia
U.S. Grains Council

Kevin Roepke serves as Regional Director for the US Grains Council's South and Southeast Asia office, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, Roepke overseas all programs and trade development within the region. The office is chiefly focused on working with local industry to build demand and educate on technical assistance. Additionally, regional trade servicing and regulatory issues are the hallmark of the office. Previously, Roepke served as the Director of Trade Development for the U.S. Grains Council's office in Beijing, China. In this capacity, Roepke assisted with the overall coordination and management of Council programs in China. He is chiefly responsible for all activities involving trade servicing, including issues dealing with risk and freight management, procurement quality assurance and business development throughout China, as well as East Asia. Before relocating to Beijing, Roepke held various positions in the Council's headquarters in Washington, DC. His most recent position was manager of global trade where he assisted the overseas offices to develop their corn and barley programs. In this position, he also presented on behalf of the Council all over the world on issues of commodity analysis, forecasting and projections, and new agronomic technologies. Prior to joining the Council, Roepke worked for Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) where he held various trading and merchandising positions throughout the midwest United States. He received his BS in Public Service and Administration in Agriculture from Iowa State University, in Ames, IA. The U.S. Grains Council is a private, non-profit partnership of agribusinesses and producers committed to building and expanding international markets for U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and their products. The Council has nine international offices that oversee programs in more than 50 countries.
