Ms. Kelley Fitzpatrick is the principle of NutriScience Solutions that has offered consulting services in agri-food, nutrition, food science and regulatory areas for fifteen years. Our expertise includes 1) Funding and Grant Writing; 2) Strategic scientific and marketing strategies, competitive assessment reports, and business plans for food and health ingredients; 3) Research resources and technical sales support; 4) Scientific fact sheets, bibliographies, newsletters and articles; and 5) Regulatory reviews and submissions. Our expertise has assisted numerous stakeholders of novel food ingredients to introduce products to international food companies throughout the agriculture and food value-chain.
 
Kelley Fitzpatrick is a well-recognized expert in numerous areas of Canadian agriculture, health, regulatory and government affairs. Kelley provides a unique and comprehensive perspective on the agriculture and health sector in Canada, having worked with all stakeholders including government, private industry, research, trade associations and as an entrepreneur. She has contributed to the successful development of over $300 million in funding applications to provincial and federal government programs in nutritional and clinical sciences, food development, animal health, marketing and promotion, strategic planning and association establishment and advancement. Kelley has directed clinical research activities and administered funding for national multi-center research and market development projects for a number of Canadian crops.
 
Ms. Fitzpatrick is a Contributing Editor for Prepared Foods (www.preparedfoods.com) and specializes in functional foods and dietary supplements. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Panel for the Guiding Stars nutrition labeling program used by Canadian and US retailers (www.guidingstars.ca).
 
In a previous role, Ms. Fitzpatrick founded the successful Saskatchewan Nutraceutical Network, an international industry organization focused on research and development, regulatory and commercialization activities for functional foods and NHPs.  She has also worked for the National Research Council of Canada and the University of Manitoba in business development and research commercialization.
 
Ms. Fitzpatrick is a sought-after speaker having provided over 450 presentations on numerous aspects of Canadian food and health products in North America, Europe, Asia, Southern Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.  Ms. Fitzpatrick has a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg.
