In the run up to Global Grain Geneva we have been asking some of our expert speakers for their views on the most important factors affecting the grain and oilseeds market.

      

    1. - Despite a large harvest geopolitical uncertainties in the Black Sea continues to be a major focus of the community and Swithun Still of Solaris Commodities gives us his views on what we can expect from the region.

    2. - The current El Niño event is likely to have a significant effect on grain markets, MDA Information System’s Kyle Tapley enlightens us on what the El Niño is and how the effects will be felt.

    3. - Grain freight rates have dropped significantly with the price of Brent being pushed below $50 a barrel however other factors are involved, Voytek Chelkowski of Seamind explains the major issues affecting freight rates.
